The Use of Underwater Cameras for Inspection of Ship Hull
08 Dec 2020
For more than five years, the Company has been using underwater remote cameras on SCM vessels both for routine inspections of the underwater hull for fouling, and in emergency cases for hull damage in case of touching the ground or berthing facilities.
The use of such cameras saves Shipowners’ funds on underwater hull inspections by divers and maintains the ship's propulsion system in an efficient state by timely detection of hull fouling and arrangement of underwater cleaning, as well as quality control of the hull cleaning by the third parties.
