HRA Transit of m/v ARNICA

As the part of a long voyage from USA to India m/v ARNICA transited via the High Risk Area (HRA) in the Indian Ocean with deploying of privately contracted armed security personnel (PCASP) on board.

Even with reduced numbers of piracy attacks in this region, the shipboard management team conducted a comprehensive pre-transit risk assessment including the review of the latest available MSCHOA Industry Releasable Threat Assessment (IRTA) and Industry Releasable Threat Bulletin (IRTB).
